Out like a lion
After a super pleasant month, October decided to leave us like a lion (and not a Detroit Lion, mind you). Startling floods followed with 85 degrees followed by a full "blue" moon on Hallow's Eve.
With just three weeks left of production, and more seasonally appropriate temperatures, we are quite literally "chilling out". So much so, that I'm not going to wax too poetic this week.
I do want to make sure you know about the change in markets and times. There is no more Wednesday market. If you wish to purchase from us for pick up on Wednesday, you'll need to order a one time farm share through our virtual farm stand: https://www.harvie.farm/farm-stand/tumbling-shoals-farm. Pick up is at Tasteful Beans Coffee Shop (you MUST wear a mask to enter to pick up your box, no exceptions) on Wednesday 8-4
Also, we are finished attending the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market for the season. So on Saturday, we will be at the Watauga County (Boone) farmers market from 9am-noone and the downtown Hickory farmers market from 10am until 1pm.
Here's what we're harvesting for you this week:
Radishes: $2.75/bunch
Carrots: $5/bunch
Celery: $3.75/bunch
Baby Bok Choy: $3.95/pound
Hakurei salad turnips: $3/bunch
Arugula: $3.50/compostable container
Baby Lettuce Salad Mix: $3.50/compostable container
Spinach: $5/ 1/2-lb bag
Cilantro: $2/bunch
We'll be at the Downtown Hickory Farmers Market 330 Main Ave NW Saturday 10am-1pm, and the Watauga County Farmers Market in Boone 9-noon.
